Dance Teaching

Kennedy Pozzi-Mondeau is a passionate dance educator dedicated to fostering confidence, creativity, and personal growth in her students. With over 20 years of dance experience and a deep love for teaching, Kennedy has developed a teaching style that combines technical excellence with an emphasis on mental well-being and self-expression.

At On Pointe School of Dance, Kennedy has worked with dancers aged 2 to 18, teaching a wide range of styles, including ballet, jazz, lyrical, musical theater, and hip hop. She believes that every dancer has unique strengths and potential, and her goal as an instructor is to help her students discover their abilities while instilling a sense of discipline, artistry, and joy in movement. By creating a positive and supportive classroom environment, Kennedy ensures that each student feels valued and empowered to grow both as a dancer and as an individual.

Kennedy’s teaching philosophy is grounded in her mission to uplift people, build confidence, and foster a love for lifelong learning and growth through dance. She views dance as more than an art form—it’s a powerful tool for self-discovery, connection, and expression. She takes pride in nurturing her students’ mental and emotional well-being by incorporating practices that emphasize kindness, support, and teamwork. For example, she has introduced initiatives like affirmation activities and peer recognition systems, encouraging her students to celebrate each other’s achievements and spread positivity. These efforts have transformed her classes into spaces where students not only refine their technical skills but also build meaningful relationships and confidence.

With a degree in Psychology and a concentration in Mental Health, Kennedy is uniquely positioned to address the emotional and psychological needs of her students. She strives to combine her academic knowledge with her artistic expertise to create an inclusive and nurturing environment where students can thrive. Whether preparing for a recital, a competition, or simply their next class, Kennedy ensures that her students feel motivated and inspired to bring their best selves to every challenge.

Kennedy Pozzi-Mondeau’s teaching is a reflection of her lifelong dedication to dance and her belief in its transformative power. Her mission to uplift, inspire, and build confidence shines through in every class she teaches, making her not just a teacher, but a mentor and advocate for her students’ success both on and off the dance floor.
